Yeah, I know someone like that, I've never seen anyone eat so much, so fast. Good thing that he works out like a lunatic, so he puts all that food intake to good use. To give you an idea, it's taken me about a year and a half to gain about 15 lbs (while staying around 6-7% body fat).

It takes about ~4k cal for me to break maintenance due to my activity and size so I am pretty lucky I can eat a shit ton quickly. I didn't even know I had inherited it from my mom until I went home to visit once and as I was smashing down perogies I saw she was right with me finishing up and besides us nobody had even gotten half way through. If you want easy, healthy calories start stocking up on the olive oil usage. I drench my morning eggs.

I normally just try to increase my chicken breast, egg white and flax seed oil intake. The worse thing is that I can't get my arms / shoulders bigger. I get stronger and can curl more weight, but I really don't get bigger. Whereas my legs, back and chest get bigger with the same amount of effort I use on my arms.

Yeah that's not really an option for me as a student.. too expensive. Getting your arms/shoulders bigger is just a question of calories. Not all people are built equally and not all grow equally. My chest grew way, way faster than my arms did.. it took me about 3 years to break 17'' on my biceps and they still look tiny because of my height .

Well, I'm 5' 7", so height differential isn't a big problem (unlike a friend of mine who is 6' 5"), but yes my arms are taking FOREVER to get bigger... so the proportion to the rest of my body is definitely off.

Synthol should at least superficially balance your arms out

The real reason I quoted you was your sig, why does it say "Equalité" ?? Shouldn't it be liberté, égalité, fraternité ?

Doing it wrong. If you want to hit 20" arms, you need to do heavy tri work. That's where the growth potential is. Triceps are much larger than biceps, and your leverage is much better; ergo, tri gains far outclass bi gains. Heavy dips, heavy skulls, and heavy-ass bench. Curls are just the icing on the cake.

well, if it's only the "burn" OP is looking after, it's easily achievable by dragging the dead horse around for a few more reps when you think you can't absolutely give it another go, the key is to have someone else help you when you are physically exhausted, otherwise your body just set back to its "regular routine".

I used curls as an example. My tri exercises are just as intense as my bicep exercises.

no, you need to gain weight. barring genetic freakdom, it takes 10-15lbs of bw to add an inch to your upper arms. my arms were 20.75" at 245lbs and are 18.75" now at 218 lbs. stands to reason. i don't even do direct arm work anymore. close-grip chins for bis and dips and press for tris.

Oh, I agree. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear. I suppose I was a bit overzealous in denouncing bi work and in doing so may have appeared to be opposed to eating more. Calorie intake obviously plays a huge role in getting big.
