Body Weight workouts

Does anyone know a good source for a body weight workout? I had a scare recently regarding a potential back injury and have decided I want to take a break from heavy weights. I want to stay in shape, but even under the best of circumstances, it's possible to injure one's back using weights, so I want to look at alternatives.

Google "Yuri Elkaim" on YouTube. There are dozens of video demonstrations--quite a few that do not require weights. I'm sure there are many others out there as well. Elkaim, I believe, is based in Toronto.

A lot of things are possible, you're being slightly paranoid there.

I mean you don't have to do crazy weights.. But there are things.

Thanks for the suggestions, those look like great places to get started. I know maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, but I recently had what I thought was a severe lower back injury (turned out to be something unrelated) and realized that no matter what, there's always a danger when working with weights, especially heavy ones. Since I don't need to build any bulk, and just want to be in shape, fairly thin, and maybe just a bit harder than I am now, maybe I should explore switching primarily to a body weight workout. I'll give it a try for a while, see what kind of results I get and then reassess a little bit down the road.

I'm just curious, what were you doing when you thought you hurt your back?

some ... crossfit .... routines are good. When Im not feeling it I do the

10 pull up
20 pushup
30 situp
40 squat (with light weight)
routine

3x with as little a break as possiblein between as fast as you can. Im beat after 2 sets. Usually the third is to exhaustion.

I'd also recommend www.rosstraining.com 's Never Gymless manual.

First class customer service from Ross and a no nonsense very comprehensive guide. (No affiliation)
