Just returned from the library with Russ Baker's Family of Secrets (2009). Don't assume you know what this one is about. Baker's investigative reporting is first in its class. The Pequod is about to get rocked.

The book with political elements that has probably influenced me the most is Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. It is not a political book, per se, but has political elements to it.

It's a project, but very informative.
