Does anyone make a skin tone shirt so that it does not show through?

My main problem with undershirts is that they are visible under white and light blue shirts. I picked up a pair of grey v-necks from the Gap for $20 this weekend, which I will try out.

I could definitely use a link to somewhere I can buy something like this. I'm starting to think I have a sweating problem, my back gets super sweaty and I don't want to nasty up my collared shirts in an hour.

I look for a very soft fabric that is 100% cotton. Since I am probably the only responder who wears athletic undershirts (sleeveless or tank tops), I look for a nice tight fit across the chest and armholes that are not extremely deep. 2(x)ist used to make very nice athletic undershirts, however, the style of the ones made in Thailand are not as good as the ones made in Peru. The ones made in Peru had a much better fit.

Brooks Brothers makes a mercerized version of their t-shirt. This used to be truly excellent because it was a slim fit to the body and fairly long. But they recently widened it and shortened it, so now it's nowhere near as good.

So I'm back searching for the perfect tee.

I find that it's true the edges of the shirt don't show through, so the V is not visible. The downside is that if you wear a gray shirt under a white shirt, the white will not be as bright white. I guess it's probably something that only I notice, though.

I just did the undershirt purge; I got rid of all the shirts that I should have awhile ago. Mainly because they got too short, stained or stretched out. I have so much trouble finding a good fitting V-neck.

My favorite V-neck undershirt of all time was from a pack 2xist that I actually picked up way on sale at Marshall's. They must've stopped producing those because every other 2xist I've ever tried has been of much inferior quality and fit, and stretched out too easily. I finally got rid of my last shirt from that fabled clearance pack. It still fit perfectly - not too tight across my chest, tapered at the waist - but sweat has gotten the better of it.

In theory this is true. However, after spending $80+ on a lot of heather grey v-necks, I was sorely disappointed to discover that, in reality, it is not.

I like the Hanes perfect fit tees. They really are a perfect fit to me. I wash them every week and they come out looking like new. Plus, they are very affordable.

Tommy John undershirts... about $36 each, but it's worth it and half the price of Zimmerli. Check out their website; they pretty much address every problem with standard undershirts.

I tried Sunspel 2 ply cotton v-neck made in England. It's form fitting and very soft and I barely notice I'm wearing it, which is something I discovered I liked. It's a bit less than Zimmerli too.
