i did, but it was because i was laughing so hard at that scene with the fellowships gazing longingly into each others eyes. i mean, Sam and Frodo were just about to start making out! then my wife punched me in the nuts and i started crying for real

I cried at the end of the first one, when the Hobbit guy got in the canoe, for having spent three hours watching a movie that ended when a Hobbit guy got in a canoe.

No: It was awful. I was very moved by the spectacle of all the various races of men, elves and midgets etc answering the call to arms in The Two Towers, though. That was a fantastic film (I'm not usually interested in wizards and elves and suchlike).

I am the only person in America who didn't know this thing was a trilogy. I remember sitting through the first and for over 2hrs and thinking, they're gonna have to kill the "evil whatever" quick for this thing to end and make any kind of sense.

Most people I know who ever listened to Led Zep read the books...Thats pretty funny though considering the ending of the first movie haha

"Return of the King" extended edition is 4 and a half hours.
