I found out that La Cordonnerie Anglaise's slim profile EM500 shoe trees cost around US $125. It is very close to G&G lasted shoe trees and I think the price difference does not support it.
Buying G&G lasted shoe trss pays off and very competitive.

The EM500 are available in Japan for 9000 JPY, or 114 USD. I already several of them in hand, so I just used them around for most of my dress shoes. IMO LCA trees are better made than trees offered by RTW shoemakers such as JL C&J JMW etc...and fit them quite well too....

But you're right, G&G last-specific shoe trees are really something different. If I'm buying another pair of G&G's, I'll probably pair it with their lasted trees...

Nick,

I think you need to update your web site with new materials and colors. It would be nice to see the Shell Cordovan and other colors floating around on the blog and forum offered on the site.

Are those bespoke or MTO?  They look quite narrow for all G&G lasts with toe shape looking like MH71...

Yes the black is black. Its the light and camera flash that make them look like that. I'll take another photo tomorrow without flash

My family managed to visit the Uppingham shop today. It was a lovely time in the friendly small village. The best part is I got my first pair of hatch grain shoe. thanks Nick
