Well, I don't know if anyone actually made it a rule with any consequences. If another mod will volunteer to help police it, we can make it a rule.

My DNA almost rebels at defending Conne, but in fairness, some of the honored dead are important enough to deserve their own thread. It's a gray area as to who does and who doesn't, and I don't see any simple way to police that.

Yeah, I don't mind the obits myself. They get discussion and then they drop off the page. No big deal IMO.

Why do you think anyone deserves their own thread? You are basically arguing that some dumb threads are "important" enough to post in Men's Clothing.

Obituaries go in the Obituaries section.

I find it rather aggravating when 15 out of the first page of New Posts are obituary threads/old people/stupid music posts started by one guy. It happens at least once a month. Maybe i'm just oversensitive and should put him on ignore, but I really wish there was a way to limit the amount to threads he can start.

Well, the whole forum is a conversation, and some branches of the conversation are interesting enough to warrant a separate thread. That is all I mean.

+1, if Mandela dies I don't want to miss the conversation, it ties in with South Africa's destiny. Now if some broadway start croaks why not let it stay where it belongs, in the obituaries thread.

Who decides who's important enough for his own obit thread?
I don't mind his obituary threads, but all of the other ones he starts are shit.
Well I guess I'm in the minority. Next time it gets bad I'm just going to ignore him.

Right now, its Conne. Which is the problem. Maybe give Manton the power to delete Conne's threads. Or limit Conne to posting in DT. Or one thread a day or something. If I have to read one more thread about The Band (He's made like 20 or so) or Some politicians husband dying in Tibet while hiking, or something... I might lose it.

Also, there's a thread for what songs you're listening to. No need to update us with a new thread on songs/artists you like or are listening to.

Can we change the name from Styleforum to Conneblog?
