I subscribe to what Sauce says below, although I have always liked Vanity and he never riled me up.

Vanity's a state of mind. He used to rile me up fiercely, but now I just chuckle at his posts. That specific post struck me as an attempt to see how close to the line he could get before someone took action, though, so I appreciate the moderators' decision to let him know that he definitely crossed it. It's kind of amusing to have someone around who basically lives on the shores of the StyleFORVM Rubicon, as long as we keep sinking his boats.

Oh, I thought it was the comment Mack112111 mentioned... Edit: Ah, it was the "dolls" post. For some reason I read Vanity's post and it did not really surprise me at all... Maybe I am just cynical but it seemed to fit in with the rest of his comments up to this point.

Personally I think vanity contributes to my enjoyment of this forum much more than many other stalwart members.

Several posts in this thread have been squirreled for calling out posters not currently under censure (or quoting those posts).

If you wish to complain about a certain member or thread, please do so privately to me or to another applicable moderator.

Thanks.

There has been a general deterioration of the tone and propriety of this forum, and it has to stop now. The mod team and I are considering options, but for now I have squirreled a few especially egregious threads.

Please remember that this is a public forum and there are women present - don't post anything that you wouldn't say in mixed company at, say, your favorite bar. Let's try to get this place back on track, okay?
