What, because I was busting out at the seams? I regretted putting it on after I realized how much weight I'd recently put on.

I didn't notice. Yet another benefit of drape.

Ha. So true. I wish I had gotten a better look at your jacket. It took everything in me to keep my inner clothing geek at bay.

Where was this? It looks like there is a TV in the corner there, which seems less than dignified for haute cuisine connaisseurs like Manton and iammatt.

Wolfgangs in Tribeca. Good ribeye.

Tribeca, huh? Quite the trek for you and the Upper Siders... I didn't know you could get anything else than "steak for x", i.e porterhouse there? I've never ordered individual entrees at W.

Indeed. I was very happy with mine. Not over-thick. Minor criticism: not enough of a crust. But really quite good overall.

It was like a foreign land to me. The Italians were more comfortable with the area than I was.

Seeing Matt on the Subway was worth it.

I understand that the porterhouse is a signature, like at Lugars, but I prefer the rib when I can get it.

I would think Matt would be sitting a little closer to mafoofan. What happened? There must have been a lot of tension at the dinner table over this.

Seriously, can someone put names with faces? This one looks even better than the SF one.

I am the one whose ears look like open car doors.
