Doh! I missed the info on the sizing up the Boglioli, the 48 I ordered last week probably ain't gonna make it around my winter belly (which seems to have settled in year round). Ah, well. I can probably sell it to cover my expenses.

Yeap, but will report back to confirm once they arrive.

Not sure about VAT, but it's already very inexpensive, so I'm not too worried.

Well, part of it is not Boglioli-specific. The EU size minus 10 rule only works well on the small-end. It's really EU size times .79, so a 48 should be around a 38. A 54, on the other hand, is closer to a 42 and a 52 is around a 41.

They did not deduct VAT from my purchase. On sizing, I have three (2 coat models, 1 that just says Boglioli on the tag), and none of them fit the same. I ordered my regular size (52/42), and they are all very trim, but no overly so. The biggest problem I've found--and the reason it is safe to size up--is the length. I have one that fits perfectly, one that is on the short side of acceptable, and the most recent one that I posted in this thread, which is probably too short to wear in a non-casual environment.

thanks to everyone who's posted about the fit. it seems like the K Jacket is a little more modern/slim and the "coat" line is a little more traditional

As for VAT, as great of a deal as these coats are, i still do not understand the phenomenon of european stores refusing to deduct it when shipping overseas.
