The shoulder padding is not 80s-esque, but as a former Rugby player, I have big shoulders, and need no padding.
are your quarters open?
Please do add / post photos.

Here's a quick pic - please ignore the outfit. I probably will be wearing this with trousers/shoes/shirt/ maybe a cashmere tie here or there, but I just got home and thought I'd snap a quick pic before I open up the issue of Apparel Arts that just arrived in the mail today. That being said, I have on a shirt and lambswool v-neck and the jacket still feels comfortable.

Looking at the pic now, the shoulder padding is obvious but not offensive to my eye. It does seem to protrude a bit more on the right shoulder than left, but it could also be my natural slouch. I also still have the vents closed and large Harris Tweed tag at the neck (inside the collar), so I'm not sure how that might be affecting the drape. But the wool is fairly substantial, so perhaps drape is not the right word.

All in all, for $75 and for how I see myself wearing the jacket, it will do as is.

On the other hand, I just picked up my cashmere Drake's SC from Wilfred's - sleeves were taken in from the shoulder - and that looks absolutely fantastic.

Thanks for the tip - I snagged 2. One flaw doesn't really look to be visible and the other is a small hole that, since I'm going to be wearing it casually, doesn't bother me (patina, I say, patina). Regardless, how can one go wrong with 2 for about $160?

Thanks for posting this. Bought two of the cotton ones for spring/summer. Sized up 1 based on what others were saying about them being a bit trim.
