I was rushing to pick up a batch of ties that were ready for me down the street at tiecrafters, but did pick up an RLPL paisley tie. Looks awesome - I would say its ancient madder but that's what it looks like. Blues, reds, greens, browns with that rich but somewhat faded look. 90 percent cashmere. $70.

Yeah, I got momentarily excited when I first saw them, then noticed that 5+ inch bottom width. They look like clown ties. I can't imagine who would pay $80 for them.

More like "Tom Ford for Bozo the Clown". TF must have been eating lobster when he designed those bibs.

Still trying to find an appropriate occasion to wear my RLPL ancient madder paisley. I'm worried it could be percieved as douchey/loud. Ideas?

TF had these in 10.5

Jrd617, I'm thinking paired with v-necks or mock turtle-neck half-zip ups - that might help to minimize the design somewhat. But I think it will look great with a grey flannel suit or a grey prince of wales check in a 3-piece suit that I have, also from RLPL.

Yeah grey flannel sounds nice. For a non business event. I think it's too rakish for business

It must be the camera angle, or the psychology of seeing the large boots in the same shot, but the shoe looks like, what, a 5?

I can confirm this. Drake's sale is fantastic. Picked up 5 ties, a pocket square, and a scarf. They have tons and tons of boxes, so looks like there will be plenty for everyone.

There is a thread dedicated to this. I will post my few crappy picks on there. Grabbed 5 ties and a hanky.
