I think he is saying the opposite.
Posting to SF (or to a bigger site like slickdeals) is still going to benefit people. The reseller was going to find it without spending all day reading forums (since it is their *job* in many cases) while regular folk will never ever know about it.
Not to mention that a few people flooding ebay with a product (like what often happens after some electronics items get big sales on slickdeals) is going to drive the price really low. I guess it means paying slightly more for all of the people in NYC who could have made it to the sale, but for everyone else, they are still paying less than what any store charges for the item.

but there were only 3 pairs of lindriks 1 for myself and 2 to finance for the purchase plus a few other things, i can confirm the xxx zegnas i bought for my partner but those were only 12 pairs and most were size wide, i try to be fair, when i got a bunch of marlows i posted them here for more than reasonable prices. karma
