Those in the area who should know probably already do, but for those who don't...
The mens department in Saks at The Florida Mall in the Orlando area is wall-to-wall stocked with sale stuff shipped down from stores up north (Boston, etc.) I got a heads up tip earlier this week from a fellow SF'er but only finally managed to make it in on Saturday. Lo and behold they actually have* mainline Zegna, Kiton, Isaia, Cucinelli, and more. Even better, it's hanging with the last sale price on it plus they're taking 25% off that. I scored a fantastic pair of Canali slacks for about $130. I saw a couple of current season Zegna jackets that would ring up in the $200s.
Part of my tip was to talk with Frank there which I did. He said corporate had decided to centralize all the remaining sales stuff from a number of stores into batches and store managers were givne the opportunity to pick a batch for their store. The Orlando store manager piped up and got this shipment. if sales go well he thinks they'll do it more in the future. He also said the Sale runs through, hmmm, I think Friday the 14th at which point it packs up. He's also happy to hold stuff for a few days. I pointed him at Styleforum since he was unawares so tell him you got the tip from here.
Be prepared, the entire mens section is wall to wall stuff; I'm not joking. Racks and racks everywhere. I had limited time but I could have spent a couple of hours looking through stuff. It's pretty well sorted, but given the ensuing chaos some things are getting misplaced so it pays to dig through near your size.
* again for all those outside of Central Florida where this sort of stuff is everyday, it never
happens here. This is, truly, a local sartorial event
