In Hongkong at least, I believe it's $710USD not including the fabric. This is a few hundred dollars cheaper than WW Chan for apparently the equivalent level of workmanship... hence my interest in him. If he's just measuring and mailing something back to us later, I'm not sure it's worth it though.

Saks Fifth Avenue have started their pre-sale of 30% off clothing and shoes. Right now it is mostly mid-range designers- Hugo Boss, Michael Kors, Cole Haan, Saks house brand, ect. Sale goes public on May 8. High end designers pre-sale will be in a few weeks.

I don't see how he can do it any other way. He's got to take measurements here, then order fabric, then cut and make the suit in HK, and only then will you get a basted fitting.

WW Chan mails the basted suit back for $150 for a fitting and then you have to mail it back probably for the same amount which is quite a bit.

Is this a new price? I was charged $100 for my order placed in March -- the same price it's been for the past few years.

Couldn't I tell him the fabric I want now, show up in NY to get measured and point out my style preferences, then over the next few weeks in the US he could make up a basted suit for me to fit in S Fran? If he doesn't do that, that's fine, I just wanna make sure since it seems theoretically possible.

So Chan comes to the US to measure you, mails you a basted suit, you wait for him to come to the US again to fit it, and then he takes it and sends back the final product?

This is not going to happen.

No. Re-read Dragon8's description. After the fitting, Chan leaves the basted copy with you, and you, not Chan, mail it back to HK at your expense.

$1000-$1500 bespoke full-canvas 16oz 2-piece, preferably without having to spend an additional $2000 on a plane ticket and accommodation in HK.

I've never seen such a suit offered in the US for less than $3000, if you were implying someone in the US could do it? I have friends I can visit and vacation a bit in HK, hence my preference to go over there if multiple g's are going to be spent anyway.

Correct. Chan takes nothing back anymore. You must mail it back.
