Yeah. I have the same belt, but Navy with a red stripe. I paid like $5 during the recession. LE was practically giving stuff away in 2009.

God I miss Lands End Canvas circa like 2010-2011

I still have some shirts I bought for dirt cheap that I wear regularly. Had 2 pairs of pants that I absolutely loved that have both worn out. Still have a third pair of pants that lives in my office as my spare pair (for when I ride the motorcycle to work or something).

Sizing was pretty weird though. Could order 2 pairs of the same pants in the same size (maybe in different colors) and they would fit completely different.

Would murder someone for another pair of
Code:
Men's Refined Slim Fit Cords
Item: 40836-9XP3, BROWN UMBER, Size: 33 x 34
although only if they were available for the $20 I paid for the original pair.

Got some brooks brothers small wale cords to replace them, and they are equally nice, but the color is a bit too orange rather than brown.

I always wear one during the summer. When not wearing a jacket you need something to hold a tie in place.

The prices were nuts. Stuff marked 80-90% off and then they would add a 40% off code+free shipping.
I had the same pants in green.

One last LA PSA: TJ Maxx in Temple City and Rialto had some Dents leather gloves for <$20. I think that price is very good. I know Dents makes gloves for the major fashion brands. So you could basically be wearing $1000 Burberry gloves for $20.

Mini SoCal PSA
Found 3 pairs of beat up odd sized Aldens at Marshalls in Fontana and one really beat up pair at the Marshalls in Hesperia. They were on clearance for $150. I have never seen anything higher end than Clarks at these two Marshalls so it was quite a shock. I considered buying them to flip but they were too beat up to even list as new with defects. I forgot the sizes, but none were D width.

Edit- I don't remember the model. They were similar to AE Strands in tan.

A couple small SoCal PSAs:
Marshalls in Temple City has some John Varvatos winter ties and Jack Spade summer ties for $5-10ish. Not the most SF approved brands, but you won't find a better price on slim Made in USA ties.

The TJ Maxx across from Ontario Mills has a bunch of amazing stuff in their "showcase". RT cufflinks, brooks brothers money clip, Nordstrom cufflinks,... I didn't have the time to look at prices. The baby was crying so we had to leave. I assume the prices are good or will be good once they go on clearance. Almost nobody in SoCal is going to buy expensive cufflinks.

Cross post from the other thread that Fok made:

30% off at the Woodlore

Thinking about picking up the boot shoe trees and maybe a horse hair brush. Does anyone have experience with the large brush they have? Looking for one larger than the Allen Edmonds standard one.

In case you are wondering, I emailed Woodlore and they specified the following for their shoe brsuhes:

Our brush sizes are small = 5.5”, medium = 6.75”, and large – 8”.

Checked my AE brushes last night and the standard one is the medium size.

Looks like Brooks Brothers has stumbled upon a cache of Black Fleece shirts as there are quite a few patterns and sizes suddenly available and on sale.
Click on the "size" pulldown and notice a bunch of BB size options...

Vagden OTC Wool/Nylon/Lycra (60/37/3) in staple colors for $17 for 2 pair from an ebay seller here: http://www.ebay.com/

I'm serious about my socks being OTC so that they stay up, but it's hard to find good quality wool ones especially at a reasonable price. I picked up 3 sets in the usual gray/taupe/navy and just got them today and couldn't be happier. Note that they say they're large for US size 8-11, I'm a 10.5 and they fit me well. Would probably work well for 10-11.5 - smaller sizes would probably find them too big. They don't appear to be seconds.

Not quite as nice as my mainline Pantherella, Falke, or Marcoliani - but close enough to fill in.

Not affiliated with seller, just passing along a [small] score.

Bumping this thread because I put on a pair of these Vagden socks today and realized that they are still going strong after 10 years (pre-covid they were heavy in the rotation at work). Elastic is a bit worn and doesn't hold them up quite as well as they used to, but they aren't dead and they aren't worn through.

Seller is still offering them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/284835923994

There's one option, but they have many other socks in their store including non-OTC, ones that seem to have some extra cushion, etc.

Looks like the price has actually come down...6 pairs for $47.96 shipped at today's exchange rate--I paid 51 for 6 in 2013. Turned out to be a killer value.
