So how does your wardrobe add up... do you stick to certain colors when purchasing a suit or casual clothes, are you drawn to certain colors or styles when shopping. Do you stick to a certain style, or trends, are you a polo/golf shirt person, t-shirt, or dress shirt kind of person. What do you favor, or do you mix it up.

Some people tend to follow a certain dress code, you know, you always see them in that certain style suit whether it be loud or business attire, and it even follows his casual dress clothes. Some guys dress like there always going or coming from the golf course, some guys wear the same conservative style suits with low key ties and colors.

I remember a worker wearing a black suit everyday, he must of owned 15 black suits that differed in some-way (style), but black, but he did mix up the accessaries (tie & shirt) very well, but stuck to that black suit come summer or winter...

Are you a mix it up type of person... or more of a conform shopper.

As far as colors go I am pretty versatile, I ahve at least one of every color dress shirt. I have several diffrent style ties and plenty of suits to match. Most of my clothes are all dress though, my casual collection is almost non existant. MOstly because I don't find myself in many situations that I am not dressed up.

I have something for just about any occasion (except for top hat and tails) in my closet. I stay away from greens and yellows and own something in most other colors.

I pretty much wear the same thing every day, and the same thing throughout the day. I also only have one type of shoe.

Sad, really.

This is one of the things I find most interesting in a wardrobe. It seems to me that if you are dressing Cary Grant classic, finding those few classic, perfectly fitting items may be difficult, but once they've been found, you're set. Likewise the James Dean classic, to a lesser extent.

What is really difficult is to have the variety without having a million clothes.

Currently, I am considering moving to Japan, and am putting a lot of thought into how I can get the most variety out of the fewest clothes - what Jeans I can dress up and dress down, what I can wear with many colors, and what colors I should and shouldn't wear, regardless of a love for variety.

It's like a vortex. I get caught in it.

Oh, but for now, I'd say fairly versatile, without being as crazy versatile as others here. I have dressy jeans and jeans that used to be dressy jeans that are now faded, rugged, and casual. I have three piece suits, double breasted suits, single breasted suits, tweed jackets, in solids, colors and patterns. That said, I lack flashy pieces, bright colors, bold patterns. In a sense, I have a lot of clothes for the same reason I don't have bold ones. I fear bold combination. Fear like a rabbit.

Ah, public psychoanalysis. That probably isn't what you're here for.

probably not too versatile for the avg sfer out there, but pretty versatile and works for me. im not all about, "brown, i got to have brown cuz it is a color i dont have. ...green, i got to have green now to fill that niche in" because lot of these colors dont work well with me.

it is more about navy blue, darker blues, greys, browns, black. some olive , lavender and bright or brick orange.

I have different colors in suits and sports jackets, and different fabrics depending on the season. As for shirts, I have some very colorful paisleys, very nice stripes such as from Duchamp, WILD ties which go great with the colorful solid color shirts, and a good varity of dressy and casual shoes.
