If I ever audition for American Idol, I'm going to sing Freda Payne's "Band of Gold".

Check out a track of hers called "It's Yours To Have", amazing vocal performance.

Is 70s vintage enough?

Anglo Saxon Brown - Gonna Make You Mine (1976)

Johnny Bristol - Do It To My Mind (1976)

I saw Bobby Womack live at The Jazz Cafe last night, and what a rare treat it was.

By way of tribute, here's "How Could You Break My Heart" from Roads Of Life (1979) on Arista.
Great to hear something from that LP live, as it's not his most well known material (the album performed dismally upon its original release).
