Exactly. I see all these recipes for homemade cinnamon, but almost none at retail.

Market your wife's version, dude.

I wouldn't say that Blue Bell is premium...

Dreyer's/Edy's Rocky Road. If ever in Pennsylvania, try Hershey's ice cream.

I'm usually nor a fan of B&J as they put too much shit in -- if I want cookie dough, I'll eat a cookie. So is this just cinnamon or is it laced with buns?

Half Baked Fro Yo is gross, IMO. CFB Fro Yo is great, as is Black Raspberry

When you do that, it loses all its air. The more air in an ice cream, the less actual ice cream you get in every bite, so less overrun=more intense flavor.

It's got a cinnamon streusel swirl with bun-dough chunks. Ben&Jerry's also has an Oatmeal Cookie Chunk that uses cinnamon ice cream.

I'm amazed by the selection of small, semi-independent ice cream offerings at Whole Foods. I've tried several of them. However, I tend to go back to the old "stand by" of Häagen Dazs Vanilla (not the vanilla bean -- just vanilla) -- the consistency is perfect and the sugar content just right (most ice creams are too sweet). I've also enjoyed the Häagen Dazs "Five" series, including "Brown Sugar." +1 on cinnamon ice cream -- except there *was* a Häagen Dazs "limited edition" ice cream that was just cinnamon, years ago (if I recall correctly). It was great.

Copenhagan

I think it's only available in Australia but that is really good.

Dolcezzz in dc

il labortorio del gelato or however you spell it is good

the ice cream in the dining halls of umd college park is really good. Apparently it's not FDA approved due to it's rally high fat content

grom was pretty good but paying $235 for a small cup is retarded, definitely better ice cream around for less too. bastard never gave discounts either
