I don't know which to get.

Blow drying my hair straight tends to be a huge failure so I typically use a hair straightener. The problem with this is, as you can imagine, it leaves the hair limp. The style I go for is taking it up and messy, but my hair is thick, wavy and gives me a fringe down to my eyebrows when it's down.

I've heard nothing but praise for Fudge, so I whittled it down to two products; the hair shaper and fat hed. Reading the specs, Hair Shaper has extra hold to keep my 3 inches on top in place all day, but Fat Hed has root lift which should keep the hair up and less limp, right?

Since they're similiar hold factors I was wondering what the real differences between them are, and which I should opt for to get a fairly longish length on top up in place.

I've used fudge in the past and can't remember the name of the product but it wasa gel. Almost all of their stuff is good. If you are looking for the hair to hold all day then get a product that has superhold. I use bumble and bumble now.
