Cut down on the McDonald's breakfasts, In 'n Out, etc. That stuff really kills you after a while.

Sho. I know what you're talking about with the office job. I'm in the same boat and need to start working out again and lose some weight. I ran that Surf City 5k in Huntington 2 years ago that Quevola's talking about. It was fun and knowing it was on my schedule made me get in a running routine and stick with it. I did another in Cypress shortly after but fell off after that. I'd be willing to give that 5K in Irvine a try come January.

And also, stop being a lardass and start being a man. It seriously never really clicked for me until I adjusted on a more philosophical level, and now it all works together.

I'm not even trying to be mean, but in a way it's true. Look I've been there, a long time ago I let myself go and didn't notice until i was like 35 lbs over my idea weight and having health issues. It was not a way for a man to live. Never. Fucking. Again. But guess what, this thread is pointless. It takes a commitment on your part, you and only you can change this. All the advice is pointless - nothing is easier than the theory of what you're trying to do. Eat right. Exercise. Done. It's all about willpower, follow through, and execution. So once again, it's all up to you. And eventually i hope the "man" thing makes sense.

Shoie- whatever you do DO NOT do an atkins diet (as if us A's could in the 1st place...) No matter what people tell ou about how fast you can lose weight don't do it. One thing you can actually do that works (and I shit you not) is curb your TV watching. If you actually limit the amount of time you sit on the couch to watch TV (what else would you be dojng on the la z boy?) to 1 he MAX/day, you are forced to do other things. Fuck Flavor of Love Mate. This brings me to my next point, and I know I will get some flames for this but whatevs...take up dancing...... Yes, dancing!--swing, hip hop, latin, whatever. Few simple reasons: 1) It KILLS body fat and mixes strength+cardio. 2) There are cute chicks doing it 3) Its cheap at a city college night class and the schedules are usually day job friendly 4) ITs MUCH more interesting (at least to me) than going to a gym and running in palce for 45 min 5) there are cute chicks and chances are, you're pressed up against them 6) Chicks dig dudes that can dance and at some point in your life you WILL (or already had) said to yourself man, I wish I could dance... 7) There are cute chicks. 8) YOu're only 30 now, but when you get old, you'll be able to charm the socks off younger w0menz with your steps. 9) its actually pretty fun.. Have you ever seen a dancer's body?? (Rhetorical question)

Maybe you should pm kunk. He helped me figure out a good diet plan and working out. It's gone a little sour lately, as I only eat at work, and only do cardio instead of lifting, but I lost 65 pounds since last October when I first asked him for advice.

I love you guys or should I say I love you homos.

Yeah this thread is pointless but sometimes a good kick in the butt (and some good pointers here) is needed. Another motive behind this thread is to take the ridicule and turn it into some results for myself. At least now it is known here my weight status so it'll only be more shameful if I stay exactly the same by end of year.

I'm of avg height 5'11 around there so 198 is definitely too heavy for me.

Nice. I remember your photos you were a bit chub. 65 pounds is A LOT. Even I didn't lose that much last year when I got skinny. Any new photos?

Yeah. I would love to pay kunk to come physically kick my arse any time I slip up.

Best fucking advice EVER. Seriously. TV is shit. Unless you are spending maybe an hour a day watching intellectual, educational programs OR the news (even though the same time it takes to watch an hour of news you could read all about the same stories online in 30 min or less), you are wasting time doing a mindless activity instead of doing something more productive (like posting on SF....I kid, I kid).

Seriously though, the race and playing sports ideas are the best. There must be adult basketball/soccer/kickball leagues where you are.
