I took advanced finance in the final semester of my undergrad, I ended up using the classrooms computer station instead of my infinitely faster MacBook due to the lack of the number pad. During the insanely difficult exams it made everything just that much easier and faster.

Well, it looks like you can get the MS one at Walmart for $45... can't really say that for an Apple product since they don't seem to let 3rd party retailers sell their stuff for 50% off.

You mean like the engineers who use Apple hardware with parallels or bootcamp so they can use AutoCAD on Win and then move the DXF files to CS3 / CS4 on OS X to make them presentable to clients?

First off, I'm not sure why you'd need a Mac for that. Secondly, yes, those are exactly the types of uncool people that Mac designers do not cater to. Thanks.

This argument is bunk, if anything you should compare a HP/Acer/Lenovo/Dell/ETC mouse to the apple one if you are going to make a comparison using manufacturers, not the Software company/third party hardware maker.

That said, I love my Logicool Nano, its got all the buttons and crap I rarely use, 3 click buttons, and the all important 4-way scroll. I have hated every single Mac mouse I have ever used due to its terrible one button interface and complete lack of ergonomics (1st gen iMac Mouse anyone?) also the design is ugly

nothing pissed me off more about the mice than that fact. I might get a twitch or simply move my hand a little and the fucking thing would click, often clicking links or an unrelated section of something else

Ah, but this mouse has a new "chip" that intuits what you really MEAN to do instead of what you actually did. So maybe it won't be a problem. Maybe Apple just knows what's best for you, and you are just going to have to suck it up and let them run your iLife like a good boy. If you accidentally click on something, it's no accident. Your mouse knows that subconsciously you WANTED to look at Snorg Tees or an ad for The Hills. Do not confuse the mouse. It reads your thoughts and reports them back to Cupertino. All is well, citizen.
