hmm I guess it depends on how you define Asia. I tend to define it as 'where the yellow people are' - kind of consider the brown people continent to be a different thing altogether...I know that if we were to argue tectonic plates and all that, you would be right and I would be wrong...but ya, I would take HK cuisine over Bangladeshi

Oily, bland crap.

Even last week, I was dragged along for wonton at some place that is 'the best wonton on the island, ask anyone' (no idea where I was - a bit west of central somewhere). No taste whatsover. Remove taste, add oil. Yeeccch.

There is but one exception to this rule - curry fishballs. Those rock. Otherwise, as much as I love the place, it is one of very few cities where I regard McDonalds as one of the better dining options.

But...but...but...Steakhouse at the Intercon!

yeah, I understand Matt. frankly, I think that you can get a pretty good meal in HK, but I understand your point, you can get a pretty good meal, maybe better, in most other cities in that part of the world.

I love HK dim sum, but I had some in Penang that were much better, for maybe 1/10nth the price.

I leave tomorrow morning. Pretty pumped. Not looking forward to a 14 hour flight though.
