reccomend me: wall decorations

I've been in my apt for 2 weeks, 4 of those days were spent in Florida so now I"m back and need to actually buy some stuff (it's pretty empty at the moment as I came from an apartment about half of the size)

I have a lot of open wall space above the living room TV and I'm not sure what do do with it. Maybe a long, narrow painting? Or a series of smaller ones? What do you guys think?
(ignore the messy wiring, it's going to change. Crappy nighttime photo is more like the actual wall color)

Next up is the space above the corner (non-functional) fireplace. Again, nighttime photo shows the color more accurately.

The width above the fireplace is ~50" so I'm thinking of a ~30" wall clock. I'm not sure if I should go simple, sort of "steampunk" or modern - examples:

I'm open to other suggestions too!

And finally, a quick photo of one of my views. I'm in a North/West corner unit but I can see a bit of a south-view as well (this is Sourth/West sunset). Fellow Baltimorons will recognize the Washington Monument on the far-left, looking down Charles Street.
