Let me kick this one off with some from one of my favourite films (which I completely forgot about).
Vampyr

At some point I have to take some screencaps myself of these scenes in better quality.

Just about any Peter Greenaway film. Great visually!

Prospero's Books(?)
The Pillow Book

A lot of PC DVD players have a screencap button/option.

Otherwise, in WMP, hit Print Screen and then paste into a paint program. If it saves as a black screen, as it probably will, go to Tools ---> Options ---> Performance tab ---> Advanced ---> and uncheck "Use Overlays". THEN hit Print Screen and paste into a paint program. (NB This works for video files, but might not work for DVDs, which I understand WMP plays on the overlay layer.)

First screencap on my PC, Heather Graham in Arrested Development:

Interesting, no?
