I bought a full-zip sweater from H&M about five years ago and I'm still "wearing it hard."

Faded a bit, though.

careful, that thing could go off any minute now

I've developed an unnatural hate for JCrew. I've always hated their catalogs (preps suck. They always have), and although a lot of pieces are indistinguishable from stuff from lower end contemporary lines, ever since people started going on about the brand and wearing it in boring ways, I've started to hate it more and more.

Ah, my condolences then. I'm a transplant to Minneapolis myself and besides the 90/94 corridor to Wisconsin, I've only left the Cities once to visit other areas of the state. I wasn't exactly highly impressed and a return visit is low on my list of priorities.

Although I fear we've passed the topic of actual clothes you take issue with, I'm going to offer this:
Those gawd-awful cargo shorts with draw strings attached to god knows where that hang down to mid-shin. You aren't on a safari. Shee-it.

Received their catalog in the mail yesterday and it was laughable. They literally took average joes from the street and dressed them up in Jcrew gear. Quite unremarkable to say the least.

Was it the one I got yesterday that insisted "vintage cargo pants" were an essential part of man's 10-piece wardrobe?

Yep

i like j crew, they make some nice stuff... most of which is still to expensive for me, but still. and their womens stuff is nice and not as expensive as anthropologie or the other stuff my wife likes.

i can understand how accessible = boring, and that eventually jcrew pieces are over seen... but they have better offerings than a lot of other brands.

i like them.

That's the ticket.
That guy on page 3 looks like a part-time philosophy teacher at a community college.

It was the shirt's fault. Watch out, it's going to disintegrate in the stained spot. Might eat into your skin.

And you mean they are not?

The last guy doesn't look good at all.

Same here. Their sweaters and knits are terrible too. The shirts are all right, though I'd only buy at outlet prices ($30 a pop). The lone J Crew shirt I got as a gift is like 3 inches too long also.

I think Robert or someone posted about wearing a henley over a button up and discussing these weird combos, I guess you have to get creative with such a boring brand.
