The can't chew thru metal chain the way they can easily dispense with a leather leash.

I've seen one (smaller than in the picture, obviously) in an aquarium store. Thought it was an arowana but the owner corrected me. Beautiful animal.

My uncle had one in his 2000gallon pond. It grew to 6feet and became quite scary. He got smacked pretty hard by the tail so he had to trade it for another big fish (some catfish).

If you want "Big timer" fish go for Super Reds, they're pretty awesome and lovely to look at
