Friday October 16th 8:30 p.m. - 1 a.m. Falls Church, VA Rockabilly show featuring The Bullets and Jumpin’ Jupiter at JV’s in Falls Church (actually it is not Falls Church city, it is Fairfax County right outside of Falls Church) right at Rt. 50 and Annandale Rd. These are two great rockabilly bands. I am not sure if anyone is into this here but these bands are awesome. I am usually not into this scene but I have seen both bands before and they are nothing short of fantastic. They used to pull a nice rockabilly crowd with the jeans and the James Dean haircuts and shit but I am not sure if they are still doing that at JV’s. JV’s is a great little beer joint to see bands but I have to warn you that Fairfax country does not fuck around with drinking and driving. Bring a designated driver. I think there is a limit of 50 people then one person has to leave for one person to enter. This place only sells beer and wine but has Pabst Blue Ribbon and Miller High Life as well as some other stuff like Stella. Smoking is allowed and it can get really smoky in there. Bring your own wimmenz as the selection will prob be sparse and older. JV’s is not a gay bar but is certainly gay friendly. One of the owners or the owners sisters plays in Wicked Jezabel (http://www.wickedjezabel.com/) (Formerly known as The Outskirts) The Bullets MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/theoriginalbullets Jumpin Jupiter page: http://www.rockabillyhall.com/JumpinJupiter.html JVS http://www.jvsrestaurant.com/index.php Also there will be a cover charge between $5 and $10 a head. I am not sure.
