They are actually pretty cool looking on a dimmer, especially if you have any simple exposed sockets. The loop-de-loop filament makes a neat orangey glow at night.

You can find them for less than 10 bucks if you poke around the web.

I've seen those a few times as well. They are beautiful with the dimmer in a lamp with exposed bulbs. They also can look very nice in desk lamps that have exposed bulbs.

Just spend the $18 on a LED bulb... it will last forever and save on your electricity bills.
