FUCK USA. Giving up two in the first 25 minutes. FUCK.

Anyone else?

Atleast the US has already qualified. I'm looking forward to seeing the draw with the 8 second place teams in Europe. France v Portugal in a playoff to make the WC would be incredible.

Can't believe Ukraine beat England to jump ahead of Croatia. No way is Ukraine the better team--no doubt England has to *love* the way that group played out after Euro '08.

No doubt. One of my mate's is from England and I got a text message the minute after that match ended. I always look forward to the WC, especially this year because it looks like there could be some amazing matches. I'll have to settle for Premier League and Champions League for now though. Go Arsenal!!!

Gignac looks phenomenal. If they manage to qualify (and, well, even if they don't), I see him getting picked up by a Premier League club next year.

He has definitely been immense. I wouldn't put it past Real Madrid or Barcelona to make an offer since they seem to enjoy spending ridiculous sums of money on players.

^Their inconsistency is what kills them.

They can go from being one of the best in the world to not even being in the top 10 in a 5 minute span.

That was a fucking amazing goal just a minute ago though.

You're joking, right? I can't believe Bradley is still the coach.

I hate Bornstein. That kid is terrible. And now he's booked himself a spot in the WC squad. Ugh. That header was mediocre...he was lucky he was unmarked.

Costa Rica still has a shot though in the playoff. I can't believe that this sport isn't bigger in the US.

Not kidding in the least. I said one of the best, meaning that they have a chance against any team in the world. They definitely aren't the best, but I do think that they have the potential to beat any team in the world.... as we may have seen earlier this year.

To clarify, no way is Ukraine the better team than Croatia. Croatia has had a very difficult time with fitness, given Modric, Kranjcar, and Eduardo's problems. That said, their showings v. England were downright pathetic. Oh well, will be interesting to see where Bilic ends up.
