MAybe they can cast him in "Hostel II"... he'll probably win an Oscar for it and make an acceptance speech about how important it is to draw attention to the state of Eastern European hostel workers...

Hahahaha, I love Jon's new custom title. Any chance I could have one?

"Things like escalated to the point where, you know, my man got too familiar and I ended up having to whip his ass man, you know, cause you know, he would step across the line. Habitually. He's a habitual line stepper."

And a big +1 on the sea for both NorCal and SoCal (no +1 on "the beach" for NorCal, though).

All things I can't believe I live without.

On the other hand, from the Philly perspective: I can't believe you all live without easy access to NYC despite not actually having to live there. Also, for the Californians and basically all Americans not from the Northeast: I can't believe you (we, formerly) live without actual public transportation.

To add to California:

The Big Sur marathon - toughest and most beautiful course I have ever run. Terrible times though...

Getting drunk and riding a bike on a wine "tasting" tour through Sonoma.

Actually, given that you have had several threads asking you to come back over at AAAC (3? 4?), I think that should read "posse leader".

Big red pickup trucks with Seppert Awr Trups yellow ribbons on the back

The worst goddamn drivers in America- and I've been to every major city and all 50 states.

People who have names on the back of their cowboy belts so that when they pull their heads out their ass they'll know what their name is.

A little house downtown called the Alamo that's a national monument and even I lumbering clod that I am could high jump over (using the Western Roll)

A river walk that's a glorified creek. It's about 5 feet across; any average person could long jump it drunk without breaking a sweat.

GO SPURMS GO

There was a Souplantation (on Lake and Cordova, I think, for Shellshock and other Angelenos information) about ten minutes from where I lived. After a long training session during adventuring racing season, I'd often go there and eat for hours. I would try every pasta they had, twice. And take a baked potato and put absolutely everything possible on it. Tasty. And down it with a gallon of Diet Coke. I miss that. Also miss the French Onion soup at Hamburger Hamlet, for some reason. Miss being able to sit outside a drinking a "Beer of the Week" with my fish taco at Wahoo's. Missing The Knitting Factory for good bands...

Man I miss LA...
