I just recently bought a shawl cardigan, color is grey. I was thinking of wearing a red button up under it.

What do you guys think is the best thing to wear with your shawl cardigan ?

Usually plain t-shirts underneath my shawl collar cardigans, though when I've worn them to work, dress shirts and ties. If you're daring, try a quasi-Sherlock Holmes or -grandfather look with a bow-tie and long-stemmed pipe. If I smoked, I'd do this.

Great thing about the shawl cardigan, you can wear a tee or a casual button-down and look good either way. Depending on the cardigan, you might even wear a dress shirt.

I wear mine over a very fitted T shirt with a deep V neck and unbuttoned.

Man, a shawl collar is something you can wear just about damn near everything under.

I don't think so that red button up shirt or sweater looks good with your grey collar shawl. In my opinion white or black T - shirt or plain sweater looks fantastic with it.
