I was coming in here to suggest Firefly.

One of the commentaries in the DVD box set is by the costume designer - it's actually pretty staggering how much effort they'd go into, right down to t-shirt graphics that 99% of viewers would never consciously notice.

I think I'm going to print up a Blue Sun t-shirt in a week or two.

barbarella was a good call (paco rabanne did the clothes for that)

brazil as well, i'll have to dig that out and give it another watch -

gattacca is in the most stylish films thread, but applies here, along with maybe dark city for clean cut futuristsic 40s stuff.

i'm gonna class 2046 as sci fi - it is the most stunningly beautiful (yet pretentiously vapid) film i have ever seen.

i like their 'drink your own wee' suits in the lynch dune.

2001 is well stylish, the space-hostesses wear cool 60s modernism.

i'm really feelin ming's daughter's (ornella muti) cat suits in flash gordon

mel gibson in mad max 1 sports nice fitting biker leathers, and kenada out or akira wears a simmilar cut, but in red and with a big pill emblazoned on the back...i always wanted kenada's outfit..and bike..and laser..

SciFi shows it, if you have that. My DVR can't tell the difference in the original and the new version, so I end up with a lot of BG.
