A blog for women

Here is an amusing blog written by a female friend of a friend. It kind of has that neurotic-ness women over 23 tend to have. Plus a little self centered since she's very pretty and knows it. I take a lot of it as tongue in cheek but I can tell she is serious too. However, I think some of it is quite true. Anyway, enjoy (the female poster and her lurker friends may get a kick out of this). http://www.thedatingtruth.blogspot.com/ This will help out our buddies here who don't know how to talk to girls. It also tells you what they are thinking. My for the month. PS - Her rant against Ralph Lauren has drawn my ire on facebook, especially since she considers Burberry more grown up. But barring that...

I got this far, then clicked on the X button.

DESIGNER POLO—the best kind of man (who would wear a Polo) knows his way around a Burberry store. Likely to be in dark blue, black or brown this man enjoys the finest things in life and can afford them through hard work and focus. Likely not to have an amazing career he is respected because he’s worked for all he has. Lacks confidence and a little on the lame side, if you can handle movie nights on the couch this man is the good man you’ve been looking for.
Disclaimer: I don't own a Burberry polo.

One of the dumbest blogs I've ever read. No offense to your friend, as I'm sure she's a gem, but goddamn that shit was annoying.

Really, she seems like she would be an incredibly annoying girl to deal with.

Way too focused on finding a man and somehow gaming it to work.

Although, the part about fat chicks needing to stop eating is good.

I was a package, a product of what my parents deemed acceptable. My parents didn't stress academics, my parents didn't care about grades or school, they cared about first impressions. They cared about what other people would think about what they had created and sent off into the world.

I told you: for women. But I find it amusing to read.

She's an idiot. I see a long string of meaningless relationships in her future. And, one day she'll realize that she's 40, alone, and in no shape to compete with the hot new 20-somethings. If by luck, she marries a good man, he'll dump her before she turns 40.

I read a few columns by women (Brazen Careerist, for instance).

Would not read again.

Worthless without pics.

When I met my gay ex-boyfriend we spent six hours together from the second I knew what his name was which lead to disaster.

When I met the guy that I like we talked maybe six minutes and it's been successful ever since.

So, as long as you're not talking, people can deal with you.

Your friend of a friend seems like a dick. The first thing I read - 'I wasn't always sexy'. Ok lady - self obsession and egotism aint so sexy after all.

Her occupation is 'Beautiful Person'. As I said - dick. Case closed.

Minus some inane things she posts, I think she writes things that a lot of people think about themselves or other people, which is one reason why I enjoy reading it. Clearly though as a pretty girl she does have a big ego (about her looks), but there's nothing I personally hate more than false modesty or people afraid to toot their own horn a little bit. Bores the fuck out me.
