That's gotta suck. I like how Apple has already decided that it's only occurring in "extremely rare circumstances".

Can we get a number behind that? Like 1-100? 1-50? What qualifies?

It means that it hasn't happened to anyone important to Apple yet. When I was working pretty closely with their graphics and Quicktime teams I could get bug fixes very quickly, but other people had to wait months or even years for their issues to be addressed.
