If it works so great, how come in the video I don't see any evidence of air flow (i.e., hair being blown backward)?

Kinda like selling bottled water. What a racket!

I have a Dyson vacuum and it's broken twice.

Very Apple.

Looks great, doesn't actually work as anywhere near as well as less glamorous machines, no doubt breaks the moment you take away the velvet cushion for it.

I didn't know better for years - I used to field a small brace of Dysons.

SNL actually had a good commercial parody a few years back introducing the Dyson clear toilet, like their clear vacuum, so you could see your waste through the bowl.

Long before that they had Mike Myers parody Jonathan Pryce in those pretentious Infiniti commercials unveiling the Inifinit Q45 toilet.

SFO has the Dyson air blade hand dryers in the men's restrooms. It almost completely dries your hand with one pass through it.

But didn't he "borrow" that idea Apple-style from Mitsubishi?

No way the Dyson generates 400 MPH wind. I've stuck my hand out the car at 100+, and 400 would take your hand right off.

Whatever their speed, I wish those high-powered hand dryers were in every public washroom along with automatic doors or doorless entry.

The best on hand drying in my experience is the Xcelerator. Faster and drier than the Dyson.

I'll go with the autodoors, but I'd go with the auto paper towel dispensers instead based on this:

-Drying with the jet air dryer resulted in an increase on average of the total number of bacteria on the finger pads by 42% and on the palms by 15%.

-The jet air dryer, which blows air out of the unit at claimed speeds of 400 mph, was capable of blowing micro-organisms from the hands and the unit and potentially contaminating other washroom users and the washroom environment up to 2 metres (7 ft) away.
