I remember someone on SF saying it was like the J.Crew of Italy. Not being Italian, I'm not sure if that is right or not.

I would rather call it the Brooks Brothers of Italy.

Most of their stuff is made in low wage countries. The value is still excellent in my opinion. Fabrics are great and quality/construction is fine nevertheless. I do have a suit which states Made in Italy, but as we all know that does not mean its 100 % made there. Shirts are made in Egypt or Cambodia, can't remember.

The quality of their stuff is quite good, considering the relatively low price. The suits are made in italy, and so is a great deal of their accessories. The shirts are mainly made in china; nevertheless, the fabrics appear to be of good quality.

Just bought a regular fit shirt. It's made in China. Fabric doesn't seem as good as, say, Polo though.

I finally made it to Boggi for the first time today along with a few other shops I'd been meaning to check out here in London. It appears Boggi works with several manufacturers. I only looked at suits and jackets. The cuts are all pretty nice and the quality is decent to very good. Most of their stuff is half canvassed or fused - most made in Romania. I noted half canvassed suits made by Isaia. Priced at 495 GBP and up. They had some really nice spring sport jackets - some unstructured ones like Boglioli in washed cottons - don't know who made those. Their sartorial line is made by Caruso - fully canvassed and priced at 1095 GBP. The sales associate mentioned they will be having a sale - probably about 20% off starting later this month. Pretty nice style, fit and fabric overall. Again I only looked at suits and odd jackets - didn't look at trousers at all let alone shirts, ties, shoes, etc.

Boggi is a great deal and their styles are great. Considering the low price and innovative designs they're really a nice choice for a well dressed man.
Even some of the stuff made in Italy by very well respected designers are made by chinese hands working in Italian factories. Chinese workers and chinese owned factories in Italy's main textile producing city of Prato is a well know fact and as some have stated ' problem '

Definitely, Boggi as well of Bryan&Barry (Which just opened a new Department/concept store in Milan) is part of BBB Group from Monza. The quality is entry level and not all the articles are made in Italy, and even if made in Italy......you understood !

It depends on what suit or piece of clothing you choose!

Here in Stockholm, Sweden, Boggi opened a new store and I am happy to find out that most of the clothes sold there are made in Italy. However I was visiting an outlet in Italy (Milano) and allso local Boggi stores in Milano to find out that they have suits made in east-europe (Romania I think). But don´t be fooled.

The secret with Boggi is that if you know what to look for, you can find and buy very very well put together suits. I recently purchased a marine-summer-blue suit made of super 150 Wool and I can assure you that even compared to Canali and Cerruti (all made in Italy, atleast the ones I have at home) this Boggi-suit looks like and feels and most importantly fits my body like a million dollars. Ok, I have a pretty slim and normal figure and most suits fit me even before visiting the tailor for some corrections here and there, but seriously I can´t remember when i was so satisfied with a suit fit as yesterday when I got the Boggi-suit. Not only the fabrics was great, the weight, the way I could move my body wearing this suit and having the feeling is was only a light weight jacket...

I noticed they allso have 5-7 fold ties in exclusive fabrics selling for under 50Euros wich is a bargain i can tell you. Where else can you find a sevenfold tie for that price? The good thing with Boggi is that they have well tailored suits for an affordable price. I don´t think you can find a super 150 wool suit from the latest collection at any of the competitors for the same price.

From now on, I will be looking extra att Boggi and not necessary buy a Canali or Corneliani over a Boggi. For me the fit and fabrics are in the same league as the best suit manufacturers at that price. To get anything better you have to step up and pay so much more and for me its not just worth it. Ofcourse I would like to wear Brioni or Caraceni on regular basis, but thats a whole new price category. Im a lawyer and suits for me are regular wear. Based on that, for me Boggi is a very welcomed brand.

But still as ALLMOST all the italian brands (not just Boggi) there are some collections made outside Italy and I would never pay that money for a suit made in Romania or Turkey. Its not just about Italy for me, Its about tradition and having people who know what they are doing when they are cutting the fabrics and making the stitches.

At the end Its all about what looks good on your body, fitting your figure and makes you feel stylish that counts, regardles if Its Boggi, Brioni or H & M.
ps. Anyone like the suit in the avatar?..that is the one i got. Ill post a photo with me wearing it... got the tie and shirt as well:)
/Sam

I have a Boggi sports jacket made in Italy and it's really top quality not sure who made it but certainly seems higher end to me and the flannel is by
Hield.
Nothing mediocre about it! Certainly not J Crew of Italy as someone wrote on here
