Calling all LLBean Katahdin Iron Works Boots owners - Page 56

Just purchased a pair. I know it is different now and that sucks but it was on sale for $127 plus a $10 gc that i probably won't even use. I figure I can try it on for fit and if it's not worthy I can just return it to the store near my house.

Can I ask how you had gotten this at a reduced price?  Coupons, gift certificates, or perhaps an unposted sale?  I know they are having a 10% off sale through the 15th across the board.

My hope is that they have a 30% off all shoes at some point, as they currently have on backpacks...

I haven't seen any sales otherwise on the boots.

Thanks!

i almost bought these but is it just me or the captoe design is a bit small? i only say this because you look at other cap toe boots and the cap toe design is definately a lot bigger even in smaller sizes.

Ok, I got around to snapping a few photos of the Chippewa Rodeo tan boots today. They have had 2 coats of beeswax applied and have a couple days of wear on them. But I keep getting an error when trying to upload the photos, maybe because I only have a few posts?

UPDATE: Managed to add them to an album. You can see the pics here:

They actually had a 20% off sitewide coupon + $10 gc from the 9th to the 11th. Actually just got it today, but have yet to try it on.

Damn!!  I must have missed that 20% somehow :(

Perhaps I'll get lucky in the next few weeks if they do an inventory sale.

The Engineer boots are on back order anyway until mid-February so I don't think it will matter when I order between now & then.

Thanks for the info.

I've exchanged a couple pairs of these boots and finally have the sizing down.

except on the pair I have now the way the tongue folds on left boot is just killing my foot. I've worn them out for 2 days hoping it would be ok but this pair just might be slightly off. the previous pairs I tried never did this.

You think LL bean will take them back after I've worn them for 2 days?
they'll take anything back, anytime, for any reason pretty much.

The tongue fold on mine hurt a bit for the first few days, too. Just suck it up and wear them for a little while and it softens right up
as it should. smile.gif

yea its like further down on the tongue and only on the left boot. I just don't remember feeling this on the other pairs I received. still thinking about it since I really wanted to like these.
