A lot of info, but not too many pictures so I figured I'd offer one of my new Inapt p-coat purchased from Rakuten in charcoal grey...

I really didn't want to deal with all the Sterlingwear discrepancies with sizing down, and after much frustration, I just went to J.Crew and picked up their pea coat.

It came out to be only $205 with the Thinsulate lining. I'm pretty pleased with the fit of it. The sleeves could be a tad slimmer and the waist could be taken in a bit, but other than that, the quality is great and the fit is slim enough to wear.

Not to mention I really, really just can't stand all those buttons on the Sterlingwear coat. I think a pea coat should be minimal in terms of buttons--I know it might not be "classic" but I just think it looks better.

that PS is really nice. but is that a center vent?

i never liked center vents on coats and especially peacoats, where they are thicker, they have a tendency to jut out more and looks sort of sloppy on the side profile.

i rather have no vents or double vents(but i dont think they make cropped or shorter peacoats with double vents, just no vents)

my b.son peacoat has a center vent i noticed and that is the only complaint i have about it.

i'd love to see fit pics, B. Son fit is always great
and if you wouldnt mind, think I can get some measurements for the sz. L?
a few months ago i was just a bit too big to fit in B. Son sz. L but since then I've lost weight so depending on the measurements I think I'd be able to wear it if i found another one for sale
please and thanks

I just ordered a Jcrew peacoat. They marked them down and a friend hooked me up with an employee discount.

Anyone have any experience with these? I'm hoping for the best.
