Anyone here know if the Polo stores in either Boston or NYC is selling the peacoat in a small? The website is no longer selling any smalls.

Hi Andy, I'm just wondering what is your chest size? I'm assuming you wear 36 for suits and or coats?

That's awesome, but Polo has the 30% off coupon though. I wonder what Macy's shipping policy is like on the coat? I'm assuming that is the same coat as the one on Polo's website? It does have the same price. The bad thing is that I don't see any pickup option. I much rather reserve it by buying and go there to pick up the coat instead of paying $20 for shipping.

Did you made the exchange yet? If so, I'm wondering how's the fit?

I bought the small from macy's and also returned the medium to macys...

the small fits a lot better than the medium since I'm a size 36

That 30% off code is dead

Did you used any coupons or anything like that? I think I may have found my peacoat.

I just bought the peacoat from Macy's website. I kind of regret not buying the scarf as I'm not sure if the $34.99 for lamswool scarf is worth it. What do you guys think? I do need a new black scarf, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $35. I guess if it is, I'll try to call them and get them to put it in the package.

For the money, I would buy the sterling and tailor the hell out of it.

The RL is not that slim and the quality no greater.

So, I went in today and they had a charcoal peacoat from the Black Label line (first I'd seen) in a 57% wool, 27% angora, 10% cashmere, and 6% spandex blend. Those are pretty accurate, though I may be a percent off here or there.

Needless to say, it's approx. 1k on sale - should I go for it? The fit was spot-on for me, and I've been looking for a quality cashmere-blend or 100% cashmere blend.. I am slightly concerned with wearing something with spandex in it, though.

Unfortunately, it's not on the webpage so I can't show any examples.

The way I always look at is, is if you can't live without it and you don't think you'll regret the purchase, then go for it. $1000 is high for a peacoat, especially one with only 10% cashmere, but if it feels nice and it fits right, then I guess that is really all that matters.

Was there anything that stood out with respect to the design? Construction? If not I think $1K is a bit steep for a run-of-the-mill peacoat.
Not particularly, no. I did not venture too far into the construction realm.

It was a very nice coat, and fit me better than the 2 others I've tried.

Well I would usually say RL is most known for an American iconic type clothing without much attention to detail. I would say you might be able to find another pea coat with similar aesthetics (guessing really) for a bit cheaper. But like I said before, if you love it, then maybe it is worth the money.
