Bright Star

I just saw this movie last night and I have to say that I was really blown away. Not that I am a romantic movie buff, but this has to go near the top of my list and one of a handful of movies where at the end, I could not wait to see it again. The acting was wonderful, beautiful cinematography and the costumes and set were amazing. It was also the only time in my movie going experience where no one in the theater left until all the credits had finished. Go see it... http://www.brightstar-movie.com/

I think the Times summed this movie up perfectly, "Hot British chastity!"

Does it focus much on Keats' poetry?

I don't know if focus is the right word. There is quite a bit of Keats poetry in the movie, but the main focus is the relationship between Keats and Fanny...

beautiful and incredibly boring (from a guy who's seen every period movie in the past 15 years)

Really? I thought the side characters kept things interesting when there was a dull in the main story.

I thought this movie was great. One of the best two or three films of the decade.

Honestly? I don't think I can be a good judge of movies over the 10 years, but I can't remember seeing a movie I enjoyed more at the movie theater.

Yeah, really. It's possible that I have sort of a schoolboy crush on the film, but yes.
