10/28 FURTHER PRICE DROP $260 inc postage For sale is this complete morning coat, waistcoat and trousers set. See pics and detailed description below. The coat is a fully canvassed piece with some nice hand work, has the tailor’s label on the inside pocket and is from the 1950s. The coat is exceptional, the trousers and waistcoat are excellent. There are some light stains on the inside of one of the coat's sleeves and on the waistcoat (see images below). Full measurements are below. Looking for US$305 plus postage which would be approx $35 to the US. Please PM me if interested or if you have any queries. Thanks. Morning Coat: Black wool morning coat. The coat has the tailor’s label (Hepworth Tailors) on the inside pocket. This is a fully canvassed coat and evident are the hand stitches on the back of the lapels of the coat where the canvas is sewn on. Double (link) black horn buttons to front. Three small black horn buttons on each cuff, with non-functioning buttonholes. Two buttons over tails at rear. Lapel button hole (functional). One external breast pocket, one inside breast pocket on the right side, with two glove pockets inside the tails. Black satin lining, with inside of sleeves in cream satin cloth. In overall excellent condition, with no evidence of wear. There is some light staining on the inside of the left sleeve, and a slight pull in the lining fabric just above the inside pocket. Neither is visible when the coat is being worn (see images below). Chest measures approximately 46" and it measures 45” at the waist. Length at rear from collar to bottom of tails is 44.5”. Length of sleeve from shoulder to centre of cuff is 24.75" with another 1.5” in the cuff to let down. Shoulders measures 20.5” across approx. Trousers: Traditional black/silver “cashmere” stripe morning trousers in wool and poly blend. No size labels but most likely from the 1960s. Flat fronted (no pleats), with side adjustment tabs on both sides. Waist has been let out and it currently measures 42” with nothing further to let out. Inside leg is 30” with a further 1.5” available in the hem. Outside leg measurement from hip to hem is 41”. There are two side pockets, and one rear hip pocket. All buttons are present. Zip fastening fly. Waistcoat: Dove grey wool double breasted, full backed waistcoat. There are no size or tailors labels but this measures 46” at the chest. The front is of wool and the back and inside lining is viscose. There is an adjustable strap and buckle on back. It has two pockets on the front and six dark grey imitation MOP buttons on the front. There are slight stains near the left side of the neck and on the front. These would most likely come out if the item is dry cleaned.

If only this was a 36s it would have already been sold. This would be perfect for my daily strolls....I love "full morning dress" almost as much as I love formalizing daily activities.

Price drop to €240. Anyone interested in this? Would consider full or partial swaps for, for example; nice 46R jackets, C&J Weymouth in size 10E (UK), C&J Tilbury in suede, or other C&J in suede, EG Beaulieu or Newbury in 10E (UK), Fiona Rae cufflinks, or WHY? Thanks A.

Wonderful shoulders on those pieces. It seems that nowadays we have gone backwards in quality comparing to that.
