Thin Hair Pompadour

Hi, I'm going for a loose pompadour hairstyle. I have thin "dirty blond" hair that is vaguely wavy and I currently use Crew fiber, but this only allows me to put my hair "up" and not "back." I know pomade is generally used but will this work for my hair type? Thanks.
