The Mcoupe is a fun car to drive but I agree it's pretty dam ugly. The newer Z4 coupe is way better.

The Z3 MCoupe is gorgeous. It has more character and is far better looking than either the Honda or the Nissan.

M Coupe is awesome! But the S2K's rear subframe won't fall apart.

We all know the Honda could use more torque, but I still found it a complete blast to drive. Loved the way it handled...everything else feels like it plows through corners in comparison.

i would go with the s2000. no question about it. was my dream car for years.

S2000 makes a sad little 146ft lb. M Roadster makes 261Ft lb. I know which one I would want.

But this was about the S2000 vs 350Z. Thats a tough call. The 350z is probably gonna be faster but if I had to pick out of those 2 I would get the S2000 I think.

Whatever you get I would suggest getting one with traction control. I know real men don't need it but whatever it will save you from you more then once.

The 350Z has a fantastic engine: torque is flat all the way to redline, and that means power linearly increases with RPM. It's a really easy, friendly engine to drive. Handling is very nice and predictable, too. However, the brakes on that car, even the one-piece Brembo racing-style brakes on the track model, totally suck. Current theory is that they are not cooled well. Unless you take the car to the track, and have some skill, you probably won't notice this. --Andre

I have thought of this very recently and went out and bought a Z (roadster). I mean, in reality the two cars shouldn't be compared. The S2000 is funner to drive and handles much better; but the Z reminds me of a real pony car. It's powerful and beautiful. The only issues I have had so far is that the sound of the engine is uninspiring (not sonorous like a V8 or preppy like the S2000's I4) and the clutch is quite heavy. Both cars are awesome. The only thing you could do to offend me would be to buy either with an automatic.

And I´m proud to own one! The Nissan only sounds a lot better, that´s the only best thing on it. I had a Maserati Spyder either and kept the S2000 instead .

ok he didn't ask all the other opinions on cars, he asked s2k or the Z. I would go with s2k it's better engineered and a hell of alot nicer. The inside of the 350z is plastic. That BMW is a POS too they always break and are to expensive to fix. Why spend more money on an older less reliable car if you dont have to? BMW does not scream big timer when they cost about the same as an upper end civic.

coming up to SF to ask opinion on styling between 1 car with plastic dash against another with full leather interior?

Where are you getting this information? I think the Z has an awful cabin sound, with the top down or up. At least the S2000 sounds great for a four cylinder whereas it's not the case for the Z.

I believe both of them have leather seats and both have plastic dashes, so you don't seem to know anything about either car. Is there such thing as a 'full leather interior' for a car of that price? The Z has amazing leather seats with orange stitching. That being said, the Z has lots of chintzy bits and big fake silvery dials. But I quite like a big rev gauge as opposed to the S2000's digital read out.

the door panels on the Z are missing something, it's long blank and cheap looking. The one thing i do like about the Z is that sweet sounding motor

fine, I'll accept my defeat and retire my short-lived career in this threat.
