Wondering About Choosing A Major. Transferring From JC

Thread Starter
I'm in my first semester at JC in Socal and I want to transfer to UCLA. I'm pretty damn set on UCLA, but my major of choice is/was business economics. If you don't know already the competition to get into UCLA's bizecon program is even with honors program. Knowing that I definitely want to go to UCLA, I was thinking of choosing another major that's less competitive that would guarantee entry there. But looking through the major catalogue at UCLA, I can't really find anything else that tickles my fancy .

Anyone whose wondering...

Any suggestions?

I thought this thread was going to be about clarinets.

Are you allowed to change majors once you've been admitted to the school? Get in as a political science whatever and switch after a week.

Why don't you work on getting the grades first? You can literally pick ANY major and it will all be the same in JC. I've had lots of friends who just decided on JC to transfer to a higher UC than they got into initially; not easy, for UCLA you need almost perfect grades.
