This is a character from the HBO show The Wire Season 2. Am wondering, is this an actual style with a name? If so, could some nice person please inform me about the style? I love it. Most of this characters clothes I'm interested in are from the episode 11 aka "Bad Dreams."

But here is one I found.

For I moment, I thought it was Brian Johnston of AC/DC.

I do know the look is from Joseph Abboud. The picture is not a very good representation of the look I'm curious about. The hat is an Ivy-style hat. Truly, I wish I could save the pictures of the look, but my print screen is on the fritz.

Side note: I find it exceedingly ironic that such a low intelligent and insulting person (the poster called "onlinematt" above) would be interested in a style forum at all. My friend, first you must learn manners if you ever hope to attain style. You have exposed yourself as being of lowish intellect. That much is obvious. Based on that insight I can safely assume that your style is also of a low caliber.

You don't realize any of this of course (low intelligence).

Is a well dressed man with no manners more or less stylish than a poorly dressed man with excellent manners?

Low key streetwear. Is that Ted Levine? If so, he did aces in Silence of the lambs.

Here is a better photo (I used Irfanview). By the way, I'm am simply wondering if this is a certain style with it's own "genera" (so-to-speak). It looks good on this actor, I admire this unusual look and am amazed how well he pulls it off.

Also, the character does not pop his collar on his leather jacket normally. In the photo in the first post he was protecting his neck from cold wind. That photo is of his popped jacket collar is toward the last scene in episode 11 of season 2. See what happens when you assume? Also, seems some people get distracted by the Ivy hat!

Thanks to everyone for the help!

This photo does not show his shoes. They are typical dress shoes, but brown (like his belt).

Actually, this is not "The Greek." That was his boss. This character (Spiros Vondopoulos) is listed on Wikipedia as Greek, and was played by Paul Ben-Victor.

As for whether "The Greek" (played by Bill Raymond) was Greek or not (from Wikipedia discussions/debate):

"I've heard that HBO was threatened by a team of Greek lawyers of being sued for defamation over the shows portrayal of Greeks-in-America (much like Oliver Stone toned down Alexander the Greats supposed homosexuality in the film ALEXANDER after being threatened by a group of Greek lawyers). The line "Besides, I'm not even Greek" was the compromise [Note: this line was from the last episode in season 2]. They are of Greek origin and "The Greek" was being facetious (deliberately to make the characters ethnicity ambiguous). Consider that Greek-American George Pelecanos (famous crime-novel writer) was a writer on The Wire's second season (the most prominent season for the Greeks story). Also, the Turk they killed was speaking Greek, not Turkish. It further does not make sense that the Greeks would act Greek when alone (calling people "malakas" etc.). Why did they ship those stolen cars to Greece? Why when they ran did they have Greek passports? (it only makes sense that if being "Greek" was their cover that they would not leave the U.S. under a Greek passport with the FBI/cops hot on their tail!). I'm sure many others could find contradictions in thinking their being Greek was a cover."

This is a hat, not a style.
