Shirt Stains Show Up More Under Office Lights?

So this is the second time I've gotten a mustard stain on a purple shirt. Sigh. But, the main thing is that I've noticed all stains show up better under office lighting. Is it because it's brighter or because of the type of lights?

Brightners in cloth. Dies. Even your eyes all react differently depending on the light source.

You're clearly a a mustard shirt man rather than a purple shirt man.

I think of the following solutions:
  • Try not to lay back like Nero when eating.
  • If you do like to eat like Nero (or any other Roman Emperor) wear a designer bib.
  • Tuck the tie in and lean forward while devouring so things spill on floor instead of shirt/pants.
  • Start wearing mustard colored shirts.
  • Wear the same shirt and switch to ketchup, next time steak sauce, etc until you create art.
  • Accept defeat and toss the shirt.
