ed, what is your "street" price that you get for mantellassi shoes?

I mean the ebay/worldsfinest/virtualclotheshorse prices. $400-$450.

I think the blue soles are teh h0tness. There are much uglier soles out there but in any case I would never base my decision on pair of shoes by its sole...

I've actually wanted to buy them more because of the blue sole. Sadly, no opportunity to do so yet. But if the blue comes off on the floor, that's kind of lame. I always thought it was more dyed-in.

To me, the blue sole is a bonus, but one which is hidden and quickly worn away. If I didn't like it I wouldn't worry about it for that reason.

Am I right in thinking that the blue soles are often found on a cheaper line of Mantellassi shoes?

Don't tell that to the ladies. Christian Louboutin is making millions selling red soled shoes to women. Take a look in your wife's closet?

I love (most) Sutors, I love the blue soles. Seriously, they aren't neon yellow, no one will ever notice after a week of wear.

Just bought these. They are pure sex. Almost creamed my pants when I saw them.

the only thing i dont like about the blue soles is that after wearing down the bed that touches the ground, you have a waist area (that doesnt touch the ground) that is distinctly bright blue and the contrast looks off.

Can always get that retouched by a cobble I suppose. The shoes I just bought have blue soles. I'm over it. They're too gorgeous to worry about the soles.

that's what's so great about the Italians....with them god is always in the details...the blue soles are fun...not so serious....and Mantellasi takes alot of pride in the entire presentation....the blue soles, the matching blue plastic trees, the black satin shoes bags with the blue Mantellasi logo and the fantastic blue box...just makes for a more enjoyable experience...I have half a dozen pairs and although I agree that some of their styles are a bit over the top many of the lasts are quite elegant.
