What watch do you wear? - Page 8

What are your thoughts on wearing a black face, brown strap watch with both a black belt and a brown belt? Is it versatile enough? or should I purchase a black strap to go with the black belt?

I'm speaking of the Stowa Airman to be specific.

alternate between a full steel AT

& a recent purchase, my 656

I wear a '77 stainless steel datejust. I have a smallish wrist, and this fits perfectly.

No it isn't. I have a Seamaster automatic, I enjoy setting it up. If you wear it at least every other day, it won't stop.

Fatmod, the Sinn on the brown leather is simply amazing.

I do not like most Rolexes, but like the new Air King and the white faced Explorer II.

sometimes i think of Tag as the Sketchers of finer watches. many of the designs are complete rip offs of perceived higher quality watches i.e. - Submariner, Speedmaster, Navitimer etc.

when they do come out with their own new designs, like the Link, they seem to come up short slightly on the sophistication radar. plus, they never keep a design long enough for it to become a classic, or when they do revamp an older design it doesn't look any better i.e. the Link again.

i will give them credit for keeping the Monaco alive, but it seems like a lot of the people i see with Tags are new money guys that just wanted an expensive watch and didn't realize that Tag was kind of like the starter watch and that it wasn't on the same level as say, Omega.

Again, I respect this view. In fact, I shared it until a couple of weeks ago. But I bought a limited edition aquaracer that I really like. For the record, my first watch was an Omega Seamaster 120 that my wife is wearing now. Guess I'll just be a dbag and keep wearing my automatic tag.

oh, no hate, promise - just an observation i've noticed at my first job out of college. it's the new money guys i work with that think Tags will get attention from girls and also wear untucked button up with sevens and kenneth cole square toe shoes . . . for the record i bought the junghans max bill chronoscope bc i was absolutely in love with the design, so its not all about the label or the brand name either for me too

not all tag wearers are dbags, just most turn out to be

Thanks, hopefully I can fit in the exception group. Funny, the same could be said about Rolex and/or Panerai.
