i shouldn't have forgotten him. even he thinks his recent work is overrated. he plays born to run every fucking tour top to bottom.

I saw him in concert solo once. He didn't do "Born to Run," or any of his most famous radio hits.

Listening to WRNR by any chance? All those stations (XPN in Philly is the same) play the same tired stuff. Middle-aged white guy blues. If they weren't so liberal, Artisan Fran would be a subscriber.

I don't hate those stations but they could be so much better.

It was a great concert. He did stuff from Nebraska, among other things. Though I'm sure plenty of people were upset that he didn't do "Dancing in the Dark" or whatever.

No, I was actually listening to Sirius. I think RNR was at its peak 10 years ago, though it's probably still one of the only bearable FM stations anymore. Unfortunately, since I range mostly west and north of Baltimore, and I think RNR is in Annapolis and doesn't have a strong signal, I really can't get it unless I'm in certain areas. FM radio in general is almost unbearable these days. Thank god for satellite radio, and iPod.

I have actually grown fonder of U2 over the years; I used to have sort of a reactionary dislike of them, but Kunk's summary is spot on. They were a great band a long time ago, but I find all their recent stuff unlistenable. They know how to put on a spectacle though. They just passed through town and a lot of my friends are still raving about the concert.

The Boss is also terrible, and I am still irritated they took away one of my ok rock stations to play Springsteen concert stuff 24/7. WTF?

You know, I really wanted to like the Sex Pistols, I bought their album, and one of the 80's followups that fleeced the faithful, and where I can listen to a Clash album all the way through and never get fidgety or skip tracks...I can't really say that about the SP's. It's like...yeah yeah, whatev. We get it - you hate society and never learned how to play your instruments and don't see why that would matter anyway.

IMO, calling the Sex Pistols overrated is kind of nonsensical, because they pretty much only exist as an entity for that short period of time. I'd rather concede bollocks being an overrated album.
